Lesson 18: Siteswap 45141

Step 1. Two-ball excercise, Siteswap 40141.

Step 2. Juggling two balls in one hand (42), juggle Siteswap 4512 occasionally. Learn both sides.

Step 3. Rethink Siteswap 441 as 414. It is the same pattern, but starting with the hand holding just one ball.

Step 4. Learn to switch between 414 and 51. Learn both sides.

Step 5. Switch all the time to get Siteswap 45141. It can be easily mixed with the cascade, too.

It is time to conclude the asynchronous 3-ball siteswaps. All the patterns (restricting to maximum throw 5 and no multiplexes) can be described with two states: normal and excited. The table lists siteswaps that either stay in the same state or can be used as transitions between states. For instance, 45141 consists of a transition 4 to the excited state, 51 staying in the excited state, and transition 41 back to the normal state. Pattern links in transitions assume the default transition (4 or 2) for the other direction. Lesson links point to the first lesson where the pattern is used.
