The box (4,2x)* and the shower (4x,2x) are two different looking juggling patterns, but I included them in the same lesson because they are very similar: Both are synchronous patterns that utilize the throw 2x, while the other hand is throwing 4 or 4x. The patterns can also be easily mixed, for instance to change the direction of the shower. If you get confused trying to mix the two patterns, feel free to keep them separate.
Both patterns can also be written as asynchronous patterns: The box becomes 612 and the shower becomes 51. In practice it is easiest to juggle something in between, that is, the high throw happens slightly before the quick pass.
Step 1 Two ball excercise for the box. Learn both sides.
Step 2 Two ball excercise for the shower.
Step 3 While juggline two balls in one hand, occasionally do one box-throw (4,2x) to swap to the other side.Step 4 Two throws of box. Practice also three throws and so on.
Step 5 The box.
Step 6 While juggling two balls in one hand, occasionally do one shower-throw (4x,2x).
Step 7 Two throws of shower. Practice also three throws and so on.
Step 8 The shower.
Step 9 Mixing the box and the shower.
