I
am an Associate Professor in the Department of
Computer Science at Aalto
University School of Science, Finland (formerly
known as Helsinki
University of Technology). I am also an
affiliated group leader at Turku Center for
Biotechnology, Turku
University. Our Computational Systems Biology research group focuses on developing methods for high-throughput bioinformatics, computational biomedicine, synthetic biology and probabilistic modeling. On applied side, we collaborate with national and international research groups to reveal molecular control mechanisms, biological networks and biomarkers as well as to understand their role in health and disease.
