Tuomo Lempiäinen

Tuomo Lempiäinen

I am a first-year doctoral student in the Distributed Algorithms group at the Department of Information and Computer Science of Aalto University.

My research interests lie in discrete mathematics, logic and theoretical computer science. In my doctoral research I aim to study the theoretical foundations of distributed computing, with a particular focus on developing descriptive complexity theory in a distributed setting.

I obtained my B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in mathematics, with a minor in computer science, from the University of Helsinki in 2013 and 2014, respectively. Previously I have worked as a research assistant in the New Paradigms in Computing group at the University of Helsinki and in the Combinatorial Algorithms and Computation group at Aalto University.

My detailed CV is available on request.
