Research activities
I am since May 2012 a postdoc in Aalto University (Espoo, Finland -- very close to Helsinki), between the departments of Applied Physics and Information and Computer Science.
I am working mainly on disordered systems: local search algorithms on Random KSAT, inverse problems and inference (inverse Ising applied to financial data, inverse Potts applied to biological data for the prediction of the 3D structure of proteins), and analytical treatment of majority automata related to the Ising model.
I am a physicist by training, but I did (between 2008 and 2011) a thesis at the border between physics and economics, more precisely between statistical physics and urban economics. I was then a postdoc and lecturer (agrégé préparateur) for one year in the physics laboratory of ENS Lyon, before coming to Finland.
