VirtualKB Help

- Important

You have to disable and
exit VirtualKB before
uninstall or reinstall.

Do not install overlay
files while the keyboard
is up and running.

- Setup options

When selected, the
keyboard options do
the following:

* Enable VirtualKB:
VirtualKB starts
instead of the system
keyboard. (Only for
SE version)

* Int'l at start: Start
the keyboard with the
international keypad
enabled.

* 123 at start: Start
the keyboard with the
numeric keypad enabled.

* KB undo: Uses the
extended keyboard
undo. (This may give
you problems, I hope
it works for you. It
is recommended for
Palm models with 4MB
of memory or more)

* No click: You will
not hear the click sound
after taping on keys.

* AShift lock: Autoshift
will be always enabled.

* Fast keys: The tapped
keys enter before
lifting the pen. (Faster
text entry, this may
cause problems with
word completers.)

* Fixed width:
The keyboard text
field will be always
screen-wide. (This is
useful for some apps.)

* Abc unused: 123 will
call VirtualKB, abc
will call the previous
keyboard.

* Key repeat: Keys
will start to repeat
after a short time you
keep them pressed.
(for fast keys)

* Keyboard color: Paints
the keyboard with the
selected color. (Only
for color devices)

- Find/replace

Select the text to find,
or type it into the find
field.  Keep tapping
find to find the next
match.  If you need to
replace something, then
also fill the replace
field, and tap on replace
or replace all.

- Shortcuts

You can enter date and
time stamps.
If you need to enter a
new shortcut, then select
the shortcut text, or
type it into the text
field, continue by
entering the desired name
for the shortcut, to
finish press add.
