Research Interests

• I'm working in the Content-Based Image and Information Retrieval research group.
• Currently working for the MediaIndexing project (funded by the Academy of Finland) and the NextMedia project (funded by TIVIT/TEKES).
• Our group has taken part in the TRECVID video retrieval evaluations since 2005.
• PicSOM: a content-based image retrieval system based on the Self-Organizing Map.

Teaching
